Misty's Art Work

I sculpt my dragons from DAS air dry clay. I enjoy sculpting them most when I am free to do what my heart desires. I also paint and I make jewelry from polymer clay. I would love to learn to weld and make something out of metal. My studio is behind my Barber Shop. I have been a Barber for 34 years. I've always worked the shop and when the sun went down for 20 years I played music with my husband, step son and Rollah in a four piece Band known as "The Jacks". I played Bass Guitar. But I have since retired from music and am pursuing "my" art work once again. I hope it brings some emotion to you and as with all starving artists, some of it is for sale. Don't be afraid to ask!

Commission...

This was a commission I did. I'm happy with the way it turned out and so was the client (Thank goodness). I keep looking at it wish I could get that wild look into one of my dragons. I have so many things I want to make but...I still have to work.
One of my customers figured out a cheap and easy way to get my dragons to puff smoke from thier nose...but now I need to make it. I'm very anxious to try it, but it will take a couple months to get it to that point.
My daughter Dawn went to work as a beautiful pirate this morning. I think this evening I'll dress up as an old witch! It's really not that much of a stretch...just grab something from the closet and cackle a bit more than usual... and I'm there!
I have to make an Alien for the same gentleman that commissioned the Preditor. I think that will be quite a challenge for me. If he were going to be to scale...he would have to be much larger than the Preditor but I think I will opt for about the same size. The Preditor has gone in his fancy media room he had built, and has a spot light on it...cool huh? The Alien will balance it out on the other side. Maybe I should stop writting, get dressed and get to my studio. It's my day off, I might just get something accomplished today. Although I have a doctor's appointment in the middle of the day. They like to tell me how much weight I've gained. I wish I could jog while I'm painting or sculpting, I"ve tried but my art doesn't come out the way I like it then. Oh well until nexttime.....Misty
