Commission...
This was a commission I did. I'm happy with the way it turned out and so was the client (Thank goodness). I keep looking at it wish I could get that wild look into one of my dragons. I have so many things I want to make but...I still have to work.
One of my customers figured out a cheap and easy way to get my dragons to puff smoke from thier nose...but now I need to make it. I'm very anxious to try it, but it will take a couple months to get it to that point.
My daughter Dawn went to work as a beautiful pirate this morning. I think this evening I'll dress up as an old witch! It's really not that much of a stretch...just grab something from the closet and cackle a bit more than usual... and I'm there!
I have to make an Alien for the same gentleman that commissioned the Preditor. I think that will be quite a challenge for me. If he were going to be to scale...he would have to be much larger than the Preditor but I think I will opt for about the same size. The Preditor has gone in his fancy media room he had built, and has a spot light on it...cool huh? The Alien will balance it out on the other side. Maybe I should stop writting, get dressed and get to my studio. It's my day off, I might just get something accomplished today. Although I have a doctor's appointment in the middle of the day. They like to tell me how much weight I've gained. I wish I could jog while I'm painting or sculpting, I"ve tried but my art doesn't come out the way I like it then. Oh well until nexttime.....Misty

Commissioned Pedator
This sculpture is a commission. There was no time limit on it so I really was able to take my time.
I have a customer who has two teenage boys and they like the Predator. I am told they are building a media room and would like the Predator, Alien and a Raptor from Jurassic Park on the wall. I haven't thought the other two through yet but I will. The Predator is almost finished.
I used water hose for his dreads and clay. I used skewer sticks for his hair, but as you can see, still a work in progress. On top of the other two commissions I have a small dragon and a large dragon to do. And I am feeling the need for another polymer fish! If I could work four days a week , I might be able to get some of these things done! And I am still painting tea pots...plus I've been sick. Oh well ya have to stay busy!

Painted Silver Tea Services
The hunt for these little tea pots is almost as much fun as painting them. My daughter was horrified that I would even consider painting a tea service. I think she was afraid I would find and then cover a "Paul Raver" tea set with enamel paint. So she made me look up the hallmarks of all the sets I have. (just to be safe, her words) It is a good idea. It was also very interesting. Well, long story short...I have no "Paul Raver" tea services preped to paint.
So here is another one, it's almost finished, but still a work in progress! There are just a tea pot and a pot without a lid in this set... but unusual silver work. They are silver plated not full silver of course, but so much fun to paint. I will be putting these up for sale soon, on my Etsy shop! mistyscreations.etsy.com

Ta-Daaaaa!
It's almost a sin...
I was wandering around the web one day and I discovered that you can paint a silver tea service with enamel, I had to try it. This is a blast. It's not quite finished but when it is I think I try and sell it! This has kept me very busy this holiday!
